If you’re one of the lucky few to have snagged Early Beta Access, you can try out two new game features right now. This is a significant feature that will make it easier for players to enjoy the game on different platforms without having to start over. For example, if a player has been playing Diablo 4 on their PC and wants to switch to a console, they can pick up where they left off on the console version of the game. While cross-play means you can switch to different platforms when playing, it says the same for cross-progression. This means that if players switch platforms, they can carry over their progress from one platform to another. In addition to cross-play, Diablo 4 also features cross-progression. Get ready for an epic gaming experience! Cross-progression: Keep Your Progress Across Platforms Once the Open Beta starts, you can throw away those codes and just enjoy the game on your couch with siblings or friends. So grab a friend or family member and dive into the world of Diablo 4 together. But wait, it gets even better! During the Early Beta Access, you can try out couch co-op with just one beta code. And the best part? This feature will be available in the Open Beta, so everyone can get in on the action right away. This means you can play your favorite upcoming video game on different platforms with your family or friends. Microsoft confirmed cross-play and cross-progression for Diablo 4.Screengrab Courtesy of Diablo via YouTube With cross-play, players can enjoy the game with friends and family, regardless of the platform they are playing on. In the past, players were restricted from playing with others on the same platform, which could be limiting. Then I am going to do the PC Open Beta as well, not sure if I'll do the PC Xbox or straight PC version, but I have an Ultrawide now and I'll see what I like better.Cross-platform: A Game-Changer for Diablo 4Ĭross-platform is a game-changer for Diablo 4, as it means that players can connect with friends who may not have the same console or PC. Personally, for me, I am going to try the PS5 Version as a preorder, because that's probably how I'd play mostly. I do not know if this is accurate, Blizzard makes weird decisions, but you can tell if there is any issue in the upcoming weeks and it may save you from purchasing two copies. You will see if there are any real differences, but Id bet they are minor if any. Then the following weekend on the open beta, test it out through Battlenet direct PC download. Try it out on the Xbox PC app and Console. Great news though, the free Beta comes out in two weeks I believe, so id say preorder the XBOX version if you want early access on the first weekend. You download the game and depending on your graphics and setup, you can run it at higher or lower settings. I believe Xbox on PC is basically the same idea as platforms like Steam (don't quote me on this, but I believe its the same idea). I know a bunch of my Gamepass PC games will run better on higher-performing PCs than on say a normal Xbox. I bet the Xbox graphics will be optimized for your PC if using it through Xbox PC App. I wouldn't worry about graphics honestly. If I were in your boat, I would just get the Xbox version to use on PC or Console with split screen. If not, I'm in the same boat as people with friends on PS (mine are on xbox) and just have to get the game twice. So I just have to go with the xbox version and pray that it works out. In either case, if I'm wrong, I'll end up buying two copies of the game.īut ONLY if I get the xbox version and it does end up being the right call, will I avoid buying the game twice. If I get the xbox version and it turns out that the PC version has better graphics, then I should have gotten the PC version and I'll end up getting it at some point. If I get the PC version and it turns out that the only difference is split-screen, then I should have gotten the xbox version and I'll end up getting it at some point. now that I think about it, I think the way the odds work, I should get the xbox version. I am worried that the xbox version will be graphically tuned down and I won't be able to tune it up.Īctually. I just learned that the PC version does not have split-screen play.
